My students love to compete! Throughout the year, I provide numerous opportunities for students to compete with each other, both in groups within the classroom, and against my other classes. Prizes are costly, but they are necessary to make this strategy work. Gaming in the classroom enhances student engagement by making learning fun, it helps students hone their communication skills, and it fosters teamwork and a sense of community within our classroom .
