Our 7th and 8th-grade students will soon have the chance to learn with durable, large Wipebook whiteboards and mini-paddle whiteboards that have a blank side and a graphing side, complete with markers and erasers. These tools will transform our classrooms into spaces where students can actively participate, show their thinking, and collaborate with confidence. Throughout the year, students will hold up their boards to share solutions, practice graphing, explain their reasoning step-by-step, and engage in meaningful “math talk” with their peers. This instant feedback allows us to support each learner right when they need it most. Students light up when they realize they can easily erase mistakes and try again without fear of “getting it wrong.” These boards will directly impact our current 310 students, and their durability ensures that future students for years to come will benefit as well.
