The Road to Nationals 2025

At the end of this school year, our national championship Speech and Debate team will travel to Des Moines, Iowa once again to compete against students all over the U.S. in the National Speech and Debate Association Middle School Nationals Tournament. Students prepare all year in a variety of speech events, including original oratories, spoken word poetry, humorous interpretation and more. What our students perform and/or create is truly inspiring. Our coaches will be traveling with a team of 20 middle school students who are prepared to compete in 3-4 events each, displaying the highest standard of excellence for Fullerton's community. At our last Nationals, competitors remarked that they are "fired up" to return and have such a strong desire to outperform themselves, pushing their personal growth and performance from this last summer. We are proud to take students from all 5 middle schools and junior highs, and this trip entails all air and ground transportation, lodging, and meals. We are enthusiastic about supporting these students, and the extras like team shirts, judging and entry fees, specially shipped props, etc. are additional costs that we know this grant would support.
